Student Of The Year 2 is a Hindi language teen drama film written by Arshad Sayed and directed by Punit Malhotra. It was produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Production ans distributed by Fox Star Studios. SOTY 2 was theatrically released on 10 May 2019. The film received generally mixed reviews from critics. 


A sequel to the 2012 film Student Of The Year, it stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey. The film follows a hardworking college student who must overcome his personal challenge and face his competition to win the Student Of The Year Cup. 

Coming to the previous movie records, In 2012, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra ans Alia Bhatt starrer Student Of The Year was a success and opened at a decent note with 7.48 crores. The first installment received a good response from the youth audience despite being the debut film of all three lead actors. 

SOTY 2 is one of the most waited Bollywood film of this year and Tiger is certainly one of them, as his last film Baaghi 2 was a huge hit. Also the two debutant divas Ananya and Tara will be making their presence in Bollywood.
